Landscape Analysis Project
Driven by the desire to gain an enhanced understanding of the environmental education providers in our region who are working towards similar goals, the Southeastern Environmental Education Alliance embarked on a brand new undertaking—a landscape analysis of EE efforts in eight southeastern states in 2020. On this and accompanying pages, we'll show you the outcomes of the analysis and how you can use our new tools to build or strengthen your own environmental education programs and networks.
Calling All Teachers, Administrators, and Environmental Education Providers!
In a new round of data collection, we're calling on PreK-12 Teachers, Administrators, AND Environmental Education Providers to participate in our survey for environmental education in the Southeast. Later this fall, the data collected will be shared in a comprehensive analysis of environmental education offerings in the region, along with the gaps and barriers that exist in both formal and non-formal settings for students of all ages in these areas.
EE Providers Survey
This analysis will take a comprehensive look at the scope of environmental education offerings available in our region. By better understanding the important work being done in the southeast, we can identify gaps and barriers to access, as well as opportunities for service providers to partner with one another to advance our collective efforts toward environmental literacy.
PreK-12 School Survey
This analysis will take a comprehensive look at the scope of environmental education opportunities in preK-12 schools. By better understanding the important work being done in the southeast, we can identify gaps and barriers to access, as well as opportunities for schools to partner with service providers to advance our collective efforts toward environmental literacy.
Landscape Analysis Dashboard
This dashboard is an interactive tool that educators and stakeholders can use to identify EE providers and programs in their area. It provides a quick snapshot of all the findings from our surveys via charts and graphs that can be filtered and exported, as well as the complete list of organizational and program profiles for the 646 organizations that completed the survey. You can explore specific details through a toolbar that allows you to filter by state, sector, terms used, percentage of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and Persons of Color) leadership, budget, themes, audience served, offerings, academic standards, program location, program time, Title I, language, and/or evaluation practices. These charts can then be easily exported.
